The “Little Ancient World”
Valsolda is a renowned tourist destination in Italy and abroad, also thanks to the writer and poet Antonio Fogazzaro, who made it the setting of his novels, most famously Piccolo Mondo Antico.
Among the highlights of this jewel on the lake is its beautiful historic residence, Villa Fogazzaro, now owned by the FAI. Also not to be missed are the many small gems along the lakeshore, such as Oria and Albogasio.
