Moving up from Carlazzo, after covering the gorge between Mount Pidaggia and the Sasso della Porta you enter Val Cavargna, one of the main valleys around Porlezza, overlooking is breathtaking.
The Val Cavargna, which includes small rustic villages like Vegna, Cusino, s. Bartolomeo and s. Nazzaro, offers numerous possibilities for hiking, walking or mountain biking:

We recommend you to see:
- Museo della Valle, an important collection of ethnographic type
- San Bartolome Church, early 20th-century building with frescoes ripped the centuries XIV and XVI; stucco and marble altars.
- Tavaino oratory, with interesting frescoed interiors dating back to the 1500s.
